What we collect
When you sign in, we store your email address and display name to associate your account with the wishes, upvotes, and comments you create. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
How we use your data
Your data is used solely to operate the service: displaying your name on wishes and comments, tracking upvotes, and authenticating your sessions. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Google API Services
I Wish There Was uses Google Sign-In to authenticate users. Our use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request basic profile information (name, email, profile picture) and do not request access to any other Google services or data.
Data storage
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We use HTTPS for all connections.
Data deletion
You can delete your wishes at any time. To delete your account entirely, contact us and we will remove all your data.
Cookies
We use cookies solely for authentication sessions. No tracking or analytics cookies are used.
